Chandra Savage Moving towards Advanced WSET courses.

Hello All,

In June I passed my Intermediate WSET certificate and now I am moving on towards my second leg of this run, The Advanced Certificate.

I am looking for people in the New York/Queens area that can help me study as I am doing the home studies program.

Perhaps we could meet and go over the wines or develope a group to have tastings with based off of my studies.

Reach out to me if you are interested.

Thank you,
Chandra

Brian Pasch 2009 Mollydooker Wines at Wine Bloggers Conference in Walla Walla Washington

I am very excited to be here at the 2010 North American Wine Bloggers Conference in Walla Walla, Washington. I arrived last night after about 9 hours of door to door travel from New Jersey and the area is very peaceful. This is an agricultural area and I am excited to visit some local wineries and also to introduce the 2009 Mollydooker vintage for the first time in the United…

Michael Steil My first time with Mollydooker

Back in 05, I was reading Wine Enthusiast magazine and read a very small article about Mollydooker and the labels. It got my interest and I started a search for some. I eneded driving to Maryland to a small wine store there that had it and I bought a bottle of the Boxer and Two Left Feet. I got together with a friend who is a wine lover and we tried both wines that night. We both went crazy for these wines! Needless to say I drove back down to Maryland the next day and bought a case of each.…

Last night, Sarah and Sparky Marquis sat down with me to taste through the entire portfolio of wines from the 2009 vintage. I was the first person outside of the winery team to taste all the wines being offered from the 2009 growing season and the wines were outstanding.

I will be writing up my tasting notes on all 10 wines that will be offered for sale on www.mollydookerwines.com in the coming months. I have been working on Sarah and… Continue

Mark Burgoyne Nectar from the spigot

I was lucky enough to have had the extreme fortune to have had not one but TWO guided tours of the fabulous Mollydooker winery. For the 99% of you who have not yet had the chance to do this, I just have to say that going through all their vats in ascending order (yes including Velvet glove) and drinking the glorious deep luscious purple nectar self serve direct from the spigots has to rank up there with one of the best experiences of my wine life... grab it if you ever have the chance :-)

Lisa Hageman Horseback Riding Boots and Shiraz...

While visiting my Aunt and Uncle in Hawaii a couple of years ago, I was invited out for dinner along with my cousin and his wife. As our gracious host made sure that appetizers made the rounds and our wine glasses were full, talk turned naturally to wine. When he heard that Shiraz was my favourite, he leaned over the island and said "I have a bottle for you to try" in the most conspiratorial, low-voiced tone. He disappeared down the hall to reappear shortly thereafter and handed me a bottle… Continue

Brian Pasch A 6L Bottle of Velvet Glove

I visited a Mollydooker fan in Key Biscayne Florida and to my amazement he had a 6L bottle in his cellar. In fact, the collector has over 50 bottle of Velvet Glove! The most amazing thing about his cellar was that 95% of his wine were Mollydooker wines. Now that is what I call a fan!

If you like Velvet Glove and have experienced the thrill of this wine, what would you do with a 6L bottle?

Brian Pasch Are You a Mollydooker Fan?

I've been following Sarah and Sparky Marquis for a number of years and their wine making track record is nothing but outstanding. I remember when I first met Sarah, over 8 years ago. She walked into my home escorted by a local wine store owner wearing a crown. Yes, a crown. It was the Bushing Queen award that was given to the top winemakers in their area.

Any person who can wear a crown in New Jersey demanded my attention. That day started my long love affair with Sarah and…
